Happy sharing rules

  1. Wash your own cookware and dishes and wipe down surfaces after use
  2. Be careful how you place knives

  1. Many people use the fridge, freezer, and shared storage:
    1. Take only what you brought or what is labeled free/to share

      It’s a good idea to label your food

    2. Compost food scraps in the bucket beneath the counter

      2. Into the compost bin - food scraps
        • Yes: citrus and egg shells are ok
        • NO: meat, bones,dairy, pineapple heads and coconut shells
      3. Into the black trash bin - meat and dairy scraps
      4. Set aside for garden use - pineapple heads for planting, coconut shells for mulch and biochar
    3. Sort Recycling and waste in the colored bins to the right of the kitchen

Starting the gas and the oven in the hive kitchen 1. Check that the gas is on first

  1. Find the lighter in the cutlery drawer to the right of the stove
  2. For the stove, use the lighter to ignite the burners after turning the knob for the gas
  3. For the oven, there's a small hole at the bottom of the oven- put the lighter and turn the knob to where it's for lighting and then once it's lit, you adjust the temperature. you can see a flame in the reflection of the oven door

If the gas is off, access the tank on the pool side of the kitchen bar toward the view
